About Me

My mission as a professional resume writer and career counselor / coach is to help recent college graduates, mid-to-senior-level career professionals, and non-degreed individuals optimize their opportunities in the workplace. I have written resumes across many industries, helping people to secure opportunities from entry-level to senior-level positions.

I write modern and up-to-date resumes that get noticed. Writing resumes is both an art and a science. I position your skills and experience to present the best snapshot of your professional life. I take an individualized approach to writing your resume to highlight your unique attributes and values that resonate with employers.

As a career coach and career counselor, I can assist you with identifying skills to define a new career direction. If you need help advancing in your career, preparing for an interview or with your job search, I will guide and support you as you achieve your goals.

 

My Expertise

I have honed my craft during many years of experience working in the career development field, meeting with employers and understanding their needs. My leadership in the university setting allowed me to develop a broad perspective on many niches in the world of work. During my more than 30 years at Rutgers providing services for alumni, graduate and undergraduate students, has allowed me to truly understand the critical issues of life and career concerns. This helps me as a coach and resume writer.

I have provided services as a career coach through Life Reimagined, which was an initiative of AARP. I have worked with clients in many different generations.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling, which helps to inform my practice.

I understand the importance of work in people’s lives. For many, work is not just a way to earn a living, it is an opportunity to demonstrate their purpose in life.

I find the world of work fascinating, and I enjoy staying abreast of trends. I stay current by attending career conferences and meetings (virtually now!) that are sponsored by the National Career Development Association and its affiliates or the Resume Writing Academy and Career Thought Leaders.

As an Academy Certified Resume Writer, a National Certified Counselor, and a Job Transition Coach I have worked with many clients at different levels and in a variety of industries for more than 35 years. It is my pleasure to assist people who are sometimes anxious, confused, and needing direction. I provide clients with support, encouragement, and tools to be competitive in the workplace.

Thousands of people over the years have benefited from my coaching and counseling support. They find me knowledgeable, kind, and easy to talk with. I love hearing that my clients have gotten interviews and job offers. I feel gratified that I have made a difference in people’s lives.

 

My Accomplishments

I am committed to serving and assisting people in a variety of sectors in the world of work. I was deeply honored in 2019 to receive the New Jersey State Governor’s Award for Community Service for the on-going program, Students Stepping Into STEM.

I am also honored to service as a counselor for the Foreign Service Institute and assist employees of the Department of State who are Foreign Service Officers and Diplomats transitioning from their assignments throughout the world.
